Dominique Larue ‘Strippers @ My Funeral’

Larue’s affinity for Hip-Hop can be attributed to her older brother who provided her with what was a change of pace from the Gospel and R&B that she was accustomed to, introducing her to the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast, and Busta Rhymes. These rappers not only grabbed Larue’s ear, but they piqued her curiosity as well, inspiring her to write rhymes of her own, with her first ones coming at the young age of 7. From there, Larue never looked back, spending her adolescent years rapping under the name Intalekt. She built a reputation for herself in high school and beyond, amassing the respect of fellow emcees by participating in what were typically male dominated cyphers.

After proving that she could hold her own amongst her counterparts, Larue would make her presence felt in the city through performing and eventually releasing The Feelin’ Mixtape Vol. 2.0 in 2009, the first project in what would grow to be a solid catalogue of material. In addition to consistently releasing music over the years and growing her fan base by traveling all over the country to perform shows, Larue saw herself featured on top hip hop websites, winning freestyle contests, collaborating with Monie Love, and even having her music licensed and featured in films and on various television networks, including Vh1, ABC, Oxygen and HBO.

AU, who was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, has more than solidified his spot as an accomplished super-producer, with credits that include Fabulous, Jeremih, and Curren$y. AU has also helped cultivate the Columbus sound since 2010 with the success of P.Blackk’s, “Concord Rolling,” and King Vada’s, “Polo On My Body.” Soon after, he joined forces with The Magna Media Group and produced projects for Darrio Lamont, Trek Manifest, and the late Nes Wordz. Not to mention, co- production credits with the company’s CEO, Soop.
