Trailer For Upcoming ‘Karen’ Movie Has Twitter Making Comparisons to Jordan Peele Movies
In the entertainment business, there is always a chance that when something is successful, there will be others trying to replicate the success of that product, trend, or whatever it is that has garnered success. In the case of a new movie that has recently released a trailer, it reeks of a copycat format that many have noticed and many people have mentioned it on Twitter.
The movie in question is titled “Karen.” Yes, the same moniker attributed to white women who go out of their way to have a Black person (or any person of color) penalized based on a lie that they tell others, including law enforcement, property owners, basically anyone in a position of power.
“Karen” stars “Orange Is the New Black” alum Taryn Manning as a racist white woman who makes sure she does what she has to do to terrorize her new Black neighbors. Here’s the trailer that was recently released:
The reactions to the trailer have left many to make comparisons to the 2 movies Jordan Peele has already directed, “Get Out” and “Us.” It didn’t take long for Jordan Peele to be a trending topic on Twitter.
