Russ Announces the ‘Yung God Tour’
RUSS ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN ‘YUNG GOD TOUR’ THIS FALL – TICKETS ON SALE NOW

(Columbia Records; New York, NY, September 20, 2016) Atlanta-based DIY rapper Russ continues to attain new heights as a newly-signed Columbia Records artist, announcing a 30-plus city fall trek – the ‘Yung God Tour.’ Following two previous sold-out tours, Russ will be performing at his largest venues to date. The tour kicks off on October 14 in Vancouver and stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York and Washington, DC, among others, before wrapping up in Ft. Lauderdale on November 25. For 10 years, Russ has been doing it all himself.  A self-proclaimed “DIY pioneer,” Russ writes, performs, produces, mixes and masters all of his own music.  His strong vision and self-belief has resulted in nearly 200 million plays of his vast catalog, all sung word for word by his dedicated fanbase at sold out shows across the globe.

First single “What They Want” has led the way, providing fans with a potent dose of his dynamic style.  The song has been steadily climbing the rhythm radio charts, pulling in over 2 million audio/video streams a week, accumulating over 25 million Spotify streams, and notching peak positions at iTunes, Shazam and other platforms in the last week.

Acknowledged as one of the up-and-coming artists to watch in 2016, Russ has amassed a dedicated fan base that has helped catapult him to #2 on the Pandora Trendsetters chart for most of September. ABOUT RUSS
Since he was 14 years old, Russ has dedicated himself to music with an overwhelming passion. At the age of 23, he’s emerged as a DIY pioneer. Bouncing around before finally settling outside of Atlanta, he developed an intuitive knack for crafting beats at an early age.  Dropping out of Georgia’s Kennesaw State University to pursue his musical vision, he formed his venerable DIEMON crew (Do It Everyday Music Or Nothing). Under the DIEMON collective, Russ has released multiple self-made albums, scoring notable SoundCloud gems that quickly raised his buzz and blogosphere profile, including “What They Want,” “Pull The Trigger,” “Losin Control” and “Do It Myself.”
