Attika J. Torrence, 2025 Black Author’s Festival Trailblazer Award Honoree, founder, author and CEO of At The Top Publishing LLC, began his publishing company during the lockdown of the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 and attempted a feat that many thought was insane. That feat was to sell and distribute 500 copies of Attika’s SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION novel at the price point of $100 each. The book is beautiful. It is a 7” X 9” landscape, gold leafed, glossy paged, individually
numbered book that comes with a certificate of authenticity. Attika sold out all 500 copies in a year.
Attika’s second title as an author is an illustrated children’s book entitled “The Adventures of Young Atty – A Brother’s Love,” which tells the story of an older brother pouring confidence and belief into his younger brother so he (the younger brother) can work his way out of a challenging situation. During the process, the younger brother begins to believe in himself and gets stronger with that belief, and ultimately, accomplishes the goal of making it through the challenging situation.
“The Adventures of Young Atty – A Brother’s Love” was written to help young readers identify and believe in their greatness and bolster the strength and abilities that lies within each person whether they know that greatness exists or not. Packed with life metaphors, The Adventures of Young Atty – A Brother’s Love” is enjoyable reading for children from first grade straight through 12th grade.
