Mr. Vegas, known most for “Hot Gal Today”, his collaboration with Sean Paul and “Heads High”, his second major release; has been making hits for almost twenty years. Mr.Vegas hails from Kingston, Jamaica. Having gained his name, “Vegas” because of his flashy style on the soccer field; he surely carries that same flash and swag into his music. Hot off the heels of his smash hit, “Dancehall DABB”, Mr. Vegas has done it again! He spent a little time with us answering some questions.

Q:Tell us about your new clothing line MV Collections. A:The co-ed line features shirts and hats. A few designs are “Blessed Everyday”, ‘Heads High”, and “Sweet Jamaica”. Check out the full line at www.mrvegasmerch.com. Q:Your social media accounts are active. In fact, you recently caught some opposition to your “Dancehall DABB” release. A:“Everybody has something to say, the good, the bad and the ugly. Some say mi sell out, some say mi shouldn’t follow a trend. I never hear any uproar when the big Pop artistes use dancehall dance moves in their videos. The DABB is the biggest thing the states right now, all the music stars, sports stars and other celebrities are doing it. I like it, and I want Jamaica and the whole Caribbean to join the fun and do the DABB, that’s why I have recorded Dancehall DABB. It’s time to put the fun back in dancehall music. The fact that everyone is talking about this video right now is a good look for dancehall music and Mr. Vegas.” Q:You’ve been in the industry for a minute. Tell us some of the artists you’ve worked with. A:Snoop, Method Man, Redman, T-Pain, Future, Trey Songz, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul and so many more. |
