Ja Morant Surprises Young Children In Memphis With the Latest Ja 1 Nikes

Suspended Memphis Grizzlies basketball player, Ja Morant surprised some young children in Memphis at an event sponsored by Nike. The shocked kids were also rewarded with signature footwear and advice from the embattled athlete.

On the Nike Instagram account, a video was posted of the event, which looked like a basketball clinic for the children who attended. Throughout the video, kids are seen reacting to the appearance of Morant in the Memphis gym.

The 24-year-old gave the children some noteworthy advice that can help them succeed in their endeavors.

“Believe in yourself,” Morant said to them. “You know have confidence in yourself.”

“There’s going to be a lot of outside stuff that can distract you from your ultimate goal. Just stay locked in, tune it out, and stay true to yourself.”

“Basketball is more than a game 🤝

“Ja Morant pulled up in Memphis to surprise young athletes with gear and taught them that the game is about teamwork, joy, and passion. It’s a canvas for dreams and builds community. Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that Nike is about to release Ja Morant’s latest JA 1 shoes. The new footwear will have the phrase, “We Ain’t Ducking No Smoke.” That comes from a statement Morant said from a game he played in February 2022 against the New York Knicks. During an interview after the game, he replied, “Ain’t no running in the M. We climb up the chimney. We ain’t ducking no smoke.”

Based on a report by Clutchpoints, the sneakers are slated to come out on Oct. 6 and will have a price tag of $130.
