Here’s The Trailer for the Dramatic ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reboot

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air sitcom that we all know and love was a nice side of relief, laughs, and comedy interjected with serious issues that surrounded the fictional character that Will Smith, who was also known as rapper Fresh Prince had portrayed. With the antics and fun times we witnessed, the show became a classic feel-good TV show.

Now, years later, the show has been rebooted for modern times, and instead of a comedy, it has been re-imagined as a drama. A trailer has just been released for the new series that is certain to not only shock viewers but may draw an interest unexpected since the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air we know was a situation comedy.

As the trailer will show you, this is not the Fresh Prince we’ve become accustomed to!

With the show premiering after this year’s Super Bowl event, the Peacock network has released a first-look video that prepares the audience as to how the latest iteration of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will look like.

Gone are the laughs, The Fresh Prince in the title, and a more festive atmosphere. The reboot is more dramatic and is now titled simply, Bel-Air.

On February 13, after the Super Bowl is played, we will get the chance to watch this highly anticipated new reboot of a classic sitcom with a dramatic twist.

From the Peacock website, this is the new show’s description.

“Set in modern-day America, Peacock’s new one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.”
