Biography:
Ahmeer Wade Mosely, known professionally as Ayem Honcho, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, engineer, and entrepreneur. Born on October 28, 1991, and Raised in Philadelphia, PA, Ayem showed a love for music early on at the age of 7. After years of practicing and concentrating on this passion, he started seriously recording his music at the age of 16. During his time in High School, between 2008-2012, Ayem released hundreds of songs on social media and created a local buzz. This exposure led to Ayem opening up for Maryland based rapper, Logic, in 2012, and to also headline a show sponsored by Vitamin Water in 2013.
As the years went by, Ayem eventually started to become popular in the tri-state area and was able to network with quite a few well-established artists. He performed alongside Beanie Sigel, Pnb rock, and Gillie da kid. He also had a meeting with Kenny Gamble from Gamble and Huff at the Kickback music festival in Philadelphia(2015-2016). In 2016, Ayem worked with worldwide known Disc Jockey(DJ), record producer, and SiriusXM Shade 45 radio personality Patrick Baril, also known as “Statik Selektah”, which lead to the release of his first official mixtape project titled “Another Plan A.” It’s release, coupled with traveling and performing locally, resulted in even more notoriety. To capitalize on the success, he started giving away thousands of CD’s and doing free public events in Philadelphia, New York, the DMV, and more. He personally gave his project away to various famous artists such as Uncle Murda, Currensy, 6lack, Conway, Big Sean, and DMX. Ayem was then invited by Statik Selektah at “Shade 45” for a radio interview about the project and received praise from them. He has also gotten recognition from rappers known as Oschino, Jakk Frost, Hopsin, Pnb rock, the Roots and many more for his efforts and talents. Ayem was also put on the blog site known as “HipHopSince1987” and more for his lyrical ability and unique flow. Aside from fellow artists in the industry, he has also been recognized by various local news channels and reporters such as Chris Connell from Fox 29 news, Channel 3 CBS news, and Channel 6 ABC news.
Ayem has even begun to receive awards for his work. Recently, He won first place in a music competition at “His&Hers” on South Street in Philadelphia and was interviewed by “The Plugged-in Show” as a reward. His popularity is rising day by day since he is always on the streets promoting his project as well as handling the daily digital promotion of his music on social media. Recently Ayem Honcho started his own music entertainment/publishing company titled Ayem2pm Music, and he is currently working on numerous singles/projects releasing on all platforms backed by BMI.
