Los Angeles, CA (February 22, 2024) – ACZINO‘s career remains at one of its highest points thanks to “Niños,” the new single by the Mexican MC, in which he is joined by the legendary American rapper Xzibit, with whom he achieves a dream duo that, without a doubt, will become a watershed song for hip hop lovers. |
Regarding this collaboration, G.O.A.T. points out: “It’s a dream to have shared a microphone, studio, words, and incredible moments with a legend of the caliber of Xzibit, one of the greatest names in the history of rap. I feel very fortunate to have created something with a figure that has always inspired me.” |

Supported by a rhythmic base as hard as innovative (the roughness of the beat is softened by sound elements that seem to be taken from a video game), ACZINO and Xzibit perform some of their best verses, all to send a message to the youngest: the reality of the street is not a child’s game, and that’s why you should beware of it. |
This message has a more significant effect due to the production of Scoop DeVille and Ettore Grenci, two of the biggest names in the music industry game. For example, Deville worked with renowned genre representatives, such as Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Damian Marley, Miguel and 50 Cent to name a few. At the same time, Grenci participated as a composer and producer in the works of Natalia Lafourcade, Marc Anthony, ZZ Top, Luis Fonsi, Reik, Clementino and Inmigrantes among others. |
As if that weren’t enough, another star collaborates with the production of this single: Estevan Oriol was in charge of the direction of the music video. He is a photographer and director from Los Angeles of Italian-Mexican descent who has done work for Blink 182, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and more. In 2020, an original Netflix documentary called LA Originals featured Oriol and artist Mister Cartoon, focusing on how they turned their Chicano roots into gritty art, impacting street culture, hip hop and beyond. On this occasion, Oriol begins his story with a boy who lets us see the possibility of “going down the wrong path,” an interpretation accompanied by the appearance of ACZINO and Xzibit in different scenarios, from which they launch verses in Spanish and English (respectively) about how complex it is to grow up in an environment of violence and break this circle to seek a less risky lifestyle. |
In this way, ACZINO (née Mauricio Hernández González) adds another success to the most prolific period of his career, establishing himself not only as the greatest legend of Mexican rap but also as one of the biggest names in the genre. |

Previously, ACZINO released “Primero Lo Primero” and the introspective “Detrás de Cámaras.” “‘Detrás de Cámaras’ is a very personal song for me as it expresses what happens in an artist’s life, in his mind, in his emotions when he isn’t on stage, neither in the spotlight nor in front of the cameras,” ACZINO said of the track. |
ACZINO is the best freestyler ever, a talented rapper from Ciudad Neza, and an authentic urban storyteller and he knew he needed to create his upcoming album in Los Angeles, the cradle of West Coast Hip-Hop that has influenced generations and shaped the most listened-to musical genre for over two decades. |
The 2024 LP is co-produced by Scoop DeVille, son of Kid Frost – who, last year, was celebrated for his role as a pioneer of “West Coast Hip-Hop” and the founder of “Chicano Rap” for the genre’s 50th anniversary – and Ettore Grenci, who has worked with huge Latin artists and managed to make a fusion of musicality, beats, languages and styles that represent the project to perfection. |
“I would define my new album as searching for the classic Hip Hop essence, I mean ‘real’ Hip-Hop,” says ACZINO of next year’s full-length. “It isn’t experimental, it’s focused on classic rhythms and a variety of syllables. The lyrics are complex and the verse is the protagonist.” |
