Travis Hunter Responds To Social Media Criticism Of Fiancée

After winning two awards in less than a week, Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter should be out celebrating and enjoying the accolades, but, instead, he is on social media chastising people who have attacked his girlfriend because of her recent public antics.

On Dec. 11, Hunter was named the winner of the 2024 Paul Hornung Award becoming the only player in the award’s history to win it twice and in consecutive seasons. On Dec. 14, he took home the highest collegiate award given to football players when he won the Heisman Trophy Award. But, due to recent video clips circulating across the internet revealing his fiancée Leanna Lenee’s reactions when she is with him in public, including seeing Deion Sanders making her stand up when his name was announced as the Heisman Trophy winner on Saturday, people have been dissing her online. Many are trying to encourage him to leave her before he becomes an NFL player speculating that she is only with him because he is about to have a financial windfall upon signing as a potential first-round draft pick.

There is also another video of Lenee getting upset at Hunter while he was at a public event signing autographs and greeting fans.

In defense of his girlfriend, Hunter took to social media to express his frustration with what people have been talking about. He states that it is so disturbing that he is not happy because she is not happy with the criticism.

“You ain’t never had no girl so why are y’all talking about me,” Hunter says in a social media post. “Find someone else to talk about… Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got.”

He then goes on to say that they have been together for five years and warns people online to stop using her as clickbait.

“My girl been with me for five years. y’all are just now starting to talk about me… y’all go do something else with y’all life. Clickbait pages, y’all better stop I’m telling y’all. Something bad is gonna happen to y’all [if you] keep doing that. Y’all better stop that. I ain’t playing.”

He reveals that he and his fiancee are inseparable.

“Y’all hate on me then you go hate on my girl,” he said. “I feel the same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable. We’re with each other. If she’s hurting, of course, I’m gonna be hurting, If I’m hurting, of course she gonna be hurting.”
