
Sunday, October 2 Episodes of TV One’s UNSUNG and UNCENSORED are ‘Women Take The Mic’ and Keshia Knight Pulliam
All-new episodes of TV One’s original docu-series, “UNSUNG” and “UNCENSORED” debut this Sunday, October 2. “UNSUNG” leads with legendary female MCs including Roxanne Shante, MC Lyte and Salt N Pepa for a special episode titled “Women Take The Mic” at 9 p.m. ET/8C followed by “UNCENSORED” featuring award-winning actress Keshia Knight Pulliam at 10 p.m. ET/9C. Each episode will be published on TV One’s website TVOne.tv.

Hip hop was a man’s world – until women took what was theirs. With artists like MC Sha-Roc, Roxanne Shante, MC Lyte and Salt N Pepa leading the way, female MCs helped set a course for hip hop that resonates to this day. The legends highlight their journey and how they paved the way for newcomers.
“UNSUNG,” one of the network’s longest-running and award-winning series, highlights the careers and explores the personal lives of some of the most talented and influential Black artists, performers and musicians in history.

“UNSUNG” is narrated by actor Gary Anthony Williams and is executive produced by Frank Sinton and Arthur Smith of A. Smith & Co. Productions. Mark Rowland, Kysha Mounia and Jamecia Blount also serve as Executive Producers. For TV One, Austyn Biggers is the SVP of Programming and Jason Ryan is the Executive Producer in Charge of Production.
Directly following “UNSUNG” is the return of the hit, autobiographical series “UNCENSORED”, which explores the lives of popular celebrities and personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their successes and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. The next episode highlights award-winning actress Keshia Knight Pulliam. While best known for her career-defining role as Rudy Huxtable in the classic “The Cosby Show”, Keisha transparently and authentically shares the story of her expansive career.
UNCENSORED: Keshia Knight Pulliam
The hit autobiographical series, “UNCENSORED”, explores the lives of your favorite personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their success and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. This week’s episode highlights Keshia Knight Pulliam. She was just four years old when she booked the role of Rudy Huxtable, but she’s been in the industry since infancy. Keshia is “uncensored” as she details growing up as a child star and building a life she loves outside of her career.
