smartwater Hosts Event Celebrating Launch of smartbeats by smartwater in New York City
New Project Enhances Holistic Wellness Through Fusion of Music, Tech and Hydration
New York, August 27, 2019– Last night, smartwater held an event at Lightbox in New York City commemorating the launch of smartbeats by smartwater, a first-of-its-kind program designed to enhance holistic wellness through the fusion of music, technology and hydration. In collaboration with artists Toro Y Moi, Nosaj Thing, Madeline Kenney, Empress Of, Washed Out and powered by sound technology app Endel, smartbeats by smartwater are soundtracks and soundscapes designed to enhance your flow, mental balance, get you to move or simply connect with friends.
“When I heard the idea of smartbeats by smartwater, I thought it was a really concious decision to make that leap toward wellness… bringing this to people’s awareness is a very forward thinking idea and a wise decision,” said Creative Director and Producer, smartbeats by smartwater Toro Y Moi.
Media and influencers were invited to experience the project firsthand and learn about smartbeats by smartwater through presentations and conversations with the collaborators involved. In attendance were: Artist, Creative Director and Producer of smartbeats by smartwater EP Toro Y Moi, smartwater Creative Director of Wellness and fitness expert Joe Holder, smartwater partner and founder of The Big QuietJesse Israel, smartbeats by smartwater featured artists Empress Of and Washed Out, Endel CEO and co-founder Oleg Stavitsky and Co-Founder of The FADER and co-CEO of The Cornerstone Agency Jon Cohen.
Attendees of the event participated in experiential sessions led by Jesse Israel, Joe Holder, Oleg Stavitsky and Jon Cohen.
This immersive experience included a meditation, guided movements and a social exercise with flashing LED bracelets that encouraged the crowd to connect with others After the presentations, participants enjoyed music by singer/songwriter and producer Toro Y Moi while enjoying signature smartwater cocktails made with sparkling smartwater like the blood orange bourbon sour and raspberry rose basil sangria.
The smartbeats by smartwater project consists of two parts: the a-side – music tracks by featured artists, and the b-side –soundscapes powered by Endel.
Soundtracks (A-side) were produced by Toro Y Moi and created in collaboration with featured artists to compliment smartwater products—each smartwater product has a specific track to along with an occasion (detailed below).
· MOVE-Record producer beat maker and DJ, Nosaj Thing makes music gets you pumped, moving and ready to break a sweat. Paired with the Alkaline line for hydration supporting active performance and recovery.
· CONNECT-Alternative R&B and electronica artist, Empress Of provides the perfect backdrop for entertaining and connecting with friends. Paired with sparkling smartwater for delightful hydration while socializing.
· FLOW-Folk artist Madeline Kenney’s classical sound reinforces focus and productivity. Paired with still smartwater for everyday need.
· BALANCE–Washed Out’s chillwave sound promotes mental balance is complemented by smartwater’s antioxidant line for cognitive rejuvenation.
Soundscapes (B-side) enhanced, personalized, sound experiences tailored to key occasions and will partner with Endel, an app technology that generates reactive, personalized sounds. Endel’s tools are able to synthesize location, time, weather and other factors in real time. Whether it’s Yoga, running, meditation and more, the b-side provides the perfect soundtrack for each activity.
