+ Gates’ debut album “ISLAH” was recently certified Gold by the RIAA.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, Kevin Gates’ “ISLAH” is the second highest selling rap album of 2016, only behind Drake.

“ISLAH” entered Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums” chart at #1 while also coming in at #2 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 with first week sales in excess of 110,000. The album was recently featured on Rolling Stone’s “45 Best Albums of 2016 So Far”, with the publication noting: “He’s a rapper’s rapper, a lyrical Evel Knievel without any desire for a cloying pop crossover…[ISLAH is] a cohesive, satisfying, fat-free full-length.”
