Jay-Z Reacts To Being Included In Sexual Assault Case Against Diddy
After being accused of participating in a sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in 2000, Brooklyn billionaire JAY-Z has the lawsuit as a “blackmail attempt” and has promised he won’t give “ONE RED PENNY” in a social media post.
The “Hard Knock Life” recording artist immediately came out swinging after Texas attorney Tony Buzbee refiled a previous lawsuit in the Southern District of New York on Dec. 8, against former Bad Boy CEO Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the refiled document, the attorney included JAY-Z (Shawn Carter).
The lawsuit was filed under an anonymous name, “Jane Doe,” who claims that the alleged rape took place at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York in 2000. The accusation included her being drugged, raped, and left traumatized.
JAY-Z didn’t wait to respond to the alleged assault via social media.
Releasing the letter via the Roc Nation social media accounts, the mogul starts off by saying:
“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
He then goes on to say that based on the “heinous” claim that Buzbee should file a criminal complaint, instead of coming after him civilly.
“Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
JAY-Z goes on to chastise Buzbee’s tactics in bringing these types of lawsuits and warns the attorney that he is ready to fight this battle. He also tells Buzbee that based on his upbringing, the act he has been accused of goes against the “very strict codes and honor” he had growing up as children were protected.
He expresses that his family will have to deal with the allegations his client has stated and the ” inexplicable degrees of malice” meant to destroy families. Explaining that he and his wife, Beyonce will now have to explain the “cruelty and greed of people” to his children who will no doubt hear about the allegations and have to face friends with questions about the accusation.
He leaves the attorney with the statement, “I look forward to showing you just how different I am.”

Buzbee did respond to the JAY-Z statement by posting on his X account that his firm didn’t “demand” a penny from him. He accused the rapper of bully tactics and called the lawsuit JAY-Z filed against him as frivolous.
Regarding the Jay Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of…
