Superhero DJ Jon Quick is not only one of NYC’s most popular club DJs but he is also the creator, co-host, and music curator/mixmaster of The AfroFlava Radio Top Ten Afrobeat Countdown. This is the first afrobeat hybrid top ten countdown/mixshow in the USA, heard every Friday at 7pm on Scratchvision! They consistently play to an audience of over 20K! He’s also the newest member of NYC‘s newest Hip Hop & R&B station, 94.7 The Block, with two mixshows, “Gotham After Dark” every Friday at midnight and “Saturday Nights with the Superhero” also heard at midnight! 94.7 The Block is featured on the Audacy app. He also showcases the same mixshow to the city of Atlanta with “Superhero Saturdays” on Majic 107.5/97.5, “The Real Sound of Atlanta”. It airs Saturdays 7-9pm. This show is consistently ranked top 3 in its time slot with Atlanta metro area African Americans 18-49 and 25-54!.
Jon has also spun for celebrities like Beyoncé, Shaquille O’Neal, AJ Calloway, Jay Z, Jerome Bettis, Vanessa Williams and Michael Strahan just to name a few. For almost 10 years he was one of several top DJs once featured in rotation on “The Mix at Six” on 107.5 WBLS. He’s made appearances On Fox 5-NY “Good Morning NY”, SiriusXM’s “Sway in the Morning” (twice) and was also featured for over a year on Music Choice’s TV “Mixtape” and “Throwback Jams” cable channels.
Jon is an award-winning DJ whose mastery of the R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, House, Reggae, Soca and Afrobeat genres have had him play at some of the most legendary venues not only in NYC but all over the nation. He’s also played in Madison Square Garden, The Apollo Theater, Giants Stadium, Citifield and Nassau Coliseum for various concerts and athletic events. He also made history as being part of the US Open’s HBCU Live day party during the 2021 Tournament in Forest Hills, NY.
