Blue Ivy Captures Two Gold Plaques, Beyoncé 70 Certifications

The family tree is shaping up quite well for the Carter family as far as awards and accolades! The firstborn of R&B Queen Diva Beyonce and Hip-Hop’s Lyrical Billionaire Jay-Z is adding on to the family legacy before reaching teenage status! Blue Ivy has been given two gold record certifications from RIAA, the governing body that awards gold, silver, and platinum plaques.

According to VIBE, Queen Bey earned another 70 new RIAA certifications earlier this week, as she tops the charts again with her latest album release, Renaissance, and her first single, Break My Soul. Included in her many certifications are two songs that listed her daughter, Blue Ivy as a contributor, Brown Skin Girl from The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack and Blue from Beyoncé. Those two songs achieved RIAA-certified gold status which means the daughter of Bey and Jay is now the third member of the Carters to have a gold plaque to have on the wall!

For a girl who still wears ponytails, her list of recording achievements can make veteran artists jealous! She took home a GRAMMY Award for her contribution to Brown Skin Girl in 2019. Before that, in 2012, she became the youngest person in history to place on the Billboard charts after being featured on her father’s song titled, Glory, which was recorded just two days after her she was born.

AllHipHop reported that Mrs. Carter is sitting on top of the charts as she has the number one album AND the number one song in America. The Renaissance album debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The leading single, Break My Soul has taken the top position on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart.

With the latest RIAA news, Beyonce has two singles that are creeping towards diamond status as Halo and Singles Ladies (Put A Ring On It) are at 9x-Platinum. Two albums, Dangerously In Love and I Am… Sasha Fierce has recently been certified 6x-Platinum.
