The release of “Roll Up” celebrates tonight’s launch of B.o.B’s eagerly awaited “stfu. Tour.” The US headline dates get underway this evening at Omaha, NE’s Slowdown Rock Club & Bar and continues through the end of June (see attached itinerary). Support throughout the tour comes from B.o.B’s No Genre label family members of, Scotty ATL and London Jae. The “stfu. Tour” will showcase classic songs from across B.o.B’s wide-ranging catalogue, including last year’s remarkable special project, “PSYCADELIK THOUGHTZ.” The collection – which features collaborations with Sevyn Streeter, Soaky Siren, and Jon Bellion – made top 10 debuts on Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” and “Top Rap Albums” charts upon its August 2015 release. “PSYCADELIK THOUGHTZ” is available at all DSPs and streaming services.
The last half-decade has seen B.o.B devoted to one mission, to erase genre boundaries while simultaneously expanding the breath and scope of a distinctive creative vision. 2010’s “B.o.B PRESENTS: THE ADVENTURES OF BOBBY RAY” immediately established the ATL-based artist as a major force in popular music. The RIAA gold certified collection – which debuted at #1 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 – spawned a streak of hugely successful singles, including the 3x-platinum certified, #1 smash, “Nothin’ On You (Feat. Bruno Mars),” the 5x-platinum “Airplanes (Feat. Hayley Williams of Paramore),” and the platinum “Magic (Feat. Rivers Cuomo).” What’s more, the album earned the B.o.B a number of prestigious GRAMMY® Award nominations, including “Best Rap Album,” “Record of the Year,” “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration,” “Best Rap Song,” and “Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.”
“STRANGE CLOUDS” followed in 2012, spawning the multi-platinum hit singles, “Strange Clouds (Feat. Lil Wayne),” “Both Of Us (Feat. Taylor Swift),” and “So Good.” 2013’s “UNDERGROUND LUXURY” furthered B.o.B’s always-ingenious approach via such smash singles as the 2x-platinum “HeadBand (Feat. 2 Chainz),” “John Doe (Feat. Priscilla),” “Ready (Feat. Future),” and “We Still In This Bitch (Feat. T.I. & Juicy J).” Official companion videos for those songs and much more can be viewed now at B.o.B’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/bobatl.
In addition to his acclaimed studio albums, B.o.B has unleashed a seemingly endless string of inventive singles, remixes, collaborations, and mixtapes, while also finding time for such artistic endeavors as founding the independent Label No Genre. One of contemporary music’s most exciting live artists, he has also spent countless time on the road, including such successful treks as Eminem and Jay-Z’s “Home & Home Tour,” Wiz Khalifa’s 2013 “Under The Influence of Music Tour,” and last year’s “The No Genre Tour,” featuring support from Bread Winners’ Association/Atlantic recording artist Kevin Gates.
