Trey Songz Being Sued for $10M After Being Accused of ‘Grabbing and Flashing’ a Woman’s Breast at Pool Party
The problems that Tremaine Aldon Neverson, also known as Trey Songz has been facing lately don’t look like they will calm down any time soon.
According to Rolling Stone, the R&B crooner had a $10 million lawsuit filed against him accusing the singer of sexual battery and assault. A listed Jane Doe has alleged that the “Gotta Go” singer groped and exposed her breast at a pool party.
The latest incident was captured on video that was obtained by TMZ. It was revealed last year in April 2022. This took place 10 years ago in August 2013 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino on the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation reservation located in Connecticut. The young lady was working as a business analyst for a local liquor distributor at the time. Trey was there hosting an event and she stated she wanted to take a picture with him when the incident happened. When the situation took place, she said it her feel “ashamed, embarrassed, and anxious” about whether her breasts were seen by her colleagues.
The woman’s attorney told the media outlet that saying the incident is a “disturbing” and “harsh reminder” that the music industry must be held accountable.
The woman’s attorney, George Vrabeck, gave a statement to Rolling Stone, saying the incident is a “harsh reminder” that the music industry must be held accountable. “Entities such as Atlantic Records and key executives like Kevin Liles must reassess their obligations toward ensuring the safety and dignity of everyone at any event associated with their artists,” he stated. “My client demands transparency, accountability, and a prioritization of safety over profits.”
This news comes after Trey accepted a plea deal last month for an alleged attack by the singer at a New York City bowling. He had been mandated to take anger management classes.
On May 2, the singer pleaded guilty to a single disorderly conduct violation after being accused of repeatedly punching a woman in the face. He also dragged her by the hair inside the bathroom of the NYC bowling alley last October, according to a report by TMZ.
