Papa Black Davinci: ‘Wrong ID’ Ft. Kokane

Papa Black Davinci released “Wrong Idea” featuring Kokane on all streaming platforms on January 26, 2021.

The single is an ode to veteran West Coast rappers Snoop DoggKokane, and the late Bad Azz. He says, “I’m bringing that organic West Coast flavor back!”

An artist by trade, Davinci also has roots in promotion and management. The Seattle, WA native both collaborated with – and brought commercial talent Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey of (Dipset), Kevin GatesYGNipsey Hustle and Lil Baby among others, to his city to perform. He also co-hosted a show with Cardi B.

The motivation behind the single was a complete stranger: “I was at the studio and a woman walked by smoking a cigarette and heard the instrumental. She said, ‘You should do something with that.’”

Davinci has turned his experience of trial and tribulation into music. His message for listeners worldwide is to transform struggle into success, by combining hard work, passion, patience and persistence.

“A lot of artists talk about what they’ve been through. I survived and overcame the struggle.” He added, “If you can afford it, drop music.”

Black Davinci is a seasoned recording artist and entrepreneur with deep hip-hop roots in various national markets. He is a verified artist on music streaming platforms. On YouTube, his videos have amassed more than 1,000,000 combined views. On Spotify, Davinci has garnered 400,000 streams from listeners in the U.S. and Europe.
