My Friends Are Better Than Yours Featuring Nubi The Ear Hustler

Nubi’s ties to the music industry go as far back as the 90s when she worked at Capitol Records and began establishing relationships with artists like Channel Live, Portrait, Luscious Jackson, and others.

She began to reach out to friends who also had careers in the industry and started making herself available to shadow them in an effort to plant her feet firmly in the business. Nubi put in the work, including the grunt work, to get the experience she needed to understand the music business.

An introduction to Ralph McDaniels of Video Music Box by Cheryl Questell, Casting Director and Producer for Classic Concept Productions also under Ralph, afforded Nubi many opportunities to connect with industry veterans and artists.

Fast forward to 2021, in the middle of a pandemic, Nubi took a hard look at how her life had evolved and started checking off things on her bucket list; interviewing artists was up next. Nubi’s love for music has never waned, so she began to start creating names for what would be her platform, and “Nubi The Ear Hustler™” and “We Ear Hustling Baby™” fit perfectly.

To test the waters for her own platform, she reached out to Frankie Salvation of “Weekly Rap Gods” and suggested that he needed a female co-host for his show “Tap Da Mic’” on Instagram. Nubi was offered the role of co-host and gave her the opportunity to shine and to be able to work with some of the greatest hip hop artists of our time. The goal is to share great content about music and the creatives behind them to the masses.

Nubi’s warm and easy going personality brings you into her space where the listener becomes a part of an intimate conversation. She asks the questions that make the artist dig a little deeper and provides a platform to share things that they ordinarily wouldn’t discuss.
