(LOS ANGELES, CA) October 11, 2024 – Eric Bellinger is making his long-awaited debut in the Afrobeats scene with the release of It’ll All Make Sense Later, an album fans have been eagerly anticipating. Known for his smooth R&B hits, Bellinger has now embraced the infectious rhythms and vibrant energy of Afrobeats, blending his signature sound with the genre that has been reshaping the landscape of urban music in America. Afrobeats’ influence has been undeniable, with its pulsating beats and feel-good vibes crossing into mainstream R&B and hip-hop, making it a perfect fit for an artist like Bellinger who thrives on innovation and versatility. In his own words, “I’ve always stayed pretty true to R&B in the past whether it be slow or uptempo/club or bedroom vibes. But with this project I felt the need to dance. To celebrate. To be triumphant. Each project I’ve always challenged myself to see what I could do next and the first place my heart chose to go was Afro!”

Bellinger first teased the album title during BET Awards week, where he was attending events to celebrate his nomination for the chart-topping single “Curious.” While at Afr!ca Haus, an event dedicated to celebrating African culture and talent, he connected with notable figures like Papoose, Michael Blackson, The Shade Room CEO Angelica Nwandu, and Grammy’s LA Chapter VP Marcus Lomax. These interactions deepened his connection to the African music community, further fueling the excitement for his Afrobeats debut. As Bellinger explains, “I love the substance mixed with simplicity. The choppy melodies with the anthemic chants. The soulful sounds combined with the feel good energy! I traveled to South Africa to create this album and it was one of my greatest experiences in making music.”

Now that It’ll All Make Sense Later is here, Bellinger is fully immersed in the sound, with features from Afrobeats heavyweights like Konshens, Oxlade, Reekado Banks, Taves, and Vscript. Fans will love the fusion of smooth vocals and Afro-inspired production that takes his music in a bold new direction…and they won’t have to wait to experience the magic live as Eric kicks off his Around the World Tour in January (see tour dates below). As Afrobeats continues to dominate global music charts, Bellinger’s journey into the genre is a testament to its growing power and his commitment to evolving his craft.
