We R Music Entertainment was founded in 2008 in Buffalo, NY, with one mission in mind: to capture and capitalize upon all of the undiscovered talent among the emcees, vocalists, and producers in the Upstate NY locale. Montega is its franchise artist, with others set for label debut soon.
With artists such as Montega and Quadir Lateef at the helm of its music diverse scene, Buffalo Hip-Hop is gaining traction among its East Coast peers. Says We R Music label founder Demetrius “Smook” Duncan, “After working with some artists whose motivation to succeed didn’t match mine, I decided one day out of the blue that I was going to make my own album, off of my own label…create it with all local talent and go hard for my own project!
Adds Smook, “It’s sort of like what Quincy Jones did back in the day with various artists, and what DJ Khaled is doing now.”

Album production features Staxx, Buddha bumps, Screamaker, Kazmatic, L-Biz, and College Boi. Release date: Late Summer 2016.
