50 Cent Announced As Headliner For This Year's Invest Fest

Several months ago, the organizers of Invest Fest announced that it was heading back to Atlanta to return to the Georgia World Congress Center August 23-25 for this year’s financial conference. In a social media post, it was confirmed that 50 Cent is headlining the event.

TMZ reported that 50 is taking the role that his nemesis, Sean “Diddy” Combs performed for last year’s Invest Fest when he was the headliner.

The founders of Earn Your Leisure, who is putting on the conference, Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal gave statements to the media outlet about the selection of the “Get Rich or Die Trying” recording artist.

Millings told TMZ that 50 represents “the powerful blend of culture and business.”

Bilal adds, “We believe [50’s] insights and experiences will inspire and empower our audience to pursue their own paths to financial freedom.”

This is the fourth year of Invest Fest which has been in Atlanta since its inception. The conference is designed after the podcast, “Earn Your Leisure” which tries to empower the Black community when it comes to financial decisions.The conference last year brought approximately 50,000 attendees to the Georgia World Congress Center over three days. They are anticipating that this year’s conference will draw more heads with an expected turnout of around 60,000 participants.“Being around thousands of people is more productive for you on an inspirational, motivational standpoint,” Bilal stated when speaking about the conference when it was announced in March, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The $250 price for the three-day conference will be beneficial to those who attend according to Bilal.

“There’s a reason why people go to church, there’s a reason why people go on pilgrimages, right?” he said. “Being around thousands of people is more productive for you as far as on an inspirational, motivational standpoint than just being in your room by yourself.”
