Shaquille O’Neal Returns to the Gym After Having Hip Surgery Done
TNT announcer and former Los Angeles Lakers legend, Shaquille O’Neal recently left the hospital after a reported hip replacement operation. On Monday, the behemoth NBA Hall of Famer posted a video showing him already back in the gym.
The 51-year-old O’Neal showed a video clip of him walking slowly into the gym and approaching a weight machine. While walking on one crutch, he goes to sit down at the machine, showing a little discomfort as he sat down, and then proceeds to start working out.
He has a slight warning to “you old dudes” out there as he proclaims that he is “coming for yall.”
“bout to get my game back alll you old dudes that hoop in @24hrfitness @lafitness @lifetimefitness i’m coming for yall”
Earlier this month when news and photos started circulating showing him in a hospital bed, he stated that he was fine and no one needed to worry about him or his condition. He jokingly stated that he had to have some “BBL work done.”
“To all the people who are concerned. First let me start off by saying thank you,” Shaq said via Instagram. “And lastly i am fine. Just had to get some BBL work done aka #hipreplacement. but yes i am fine no need to worry.”
There is one thing that Shaq is going to continue to do and that’s business.
O’Neal has recently signed on along with Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant (with his partner Rich Kleiman for their company 35V) to become investors in the Tiger Woods’ TMRW Sports venture according to a blog post.
Several weeks ago, O’Neal was spotted in Kansas City to celebrate the opening of his new restaurant inside Kansas City International Airport. He attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for his Big Chicken restaurant inside the new KCI terminal at Kansas City International Airport, Fox 4 KC reported. O’Neal hosted the event with the city’s mayor, Quinton Lucas.
