LET GO OUT NOW EXCLUSIVELY ON APPLE MUSIC |
Today, multi-Grammy and Emmy Award-winning artist and producer Robert Glasper releases his new album, Let Go, available exclusively now on Apple Music, as part of a larger partnership with Apple. As one of the foremost recognized jazz musicians in the world, Glasper delivers a 13-track serene listening experience that emerged from fans sharing their different uses for his music. “My whole career, everybody’s been saying my music is meditative,” Glasper shares. “People say they study to my music, they pray to my music, they do yoga to my music, they just zone out. People have wanted me to do this for a long time. I wouldn’t call it the ‘meditation project’ or nothing like that, but it’s something that helps you find your center. It’s just something that quiets the world and allows you to see what’s within.” Listen to Robert Glasper’s Let Go HERE. |
Additionally, Robert Glasper has announced Black Radio Backstage, an intimate sit down with Glasper and his closests peers to talk about the ups and downs and everything in between, featuring appearances from Terrace Martin, Thundercat, Lalah Hathaway, Affion Crockett and more. Listen in weekly starting June 19th and subscribe now to Black Radio Backstage HERE. |
Glasper, never one to slow down, will make a slew of live appearances going into The Black Radio Experience, a boutique live music weekend curated by Glasper in partnership with Blue Note Napa Jazz Festival, taking place Labor Day weekend, August 28th – September 1st in Napa Valley. Guests include Jill Scott, Andre 3000, John Legend, Nile Rogers & Chic, Andra Day, Ledisi, Terrace Martin, Derrick Hodge and more. Full lineup and more info including hotel packages available HERE. |
Glasper is currently in the midst of the Black Radio III World Tour and recently appeared at the Roots Picnic with special guest Yebba, who will join him again in Los Angeles on June 15th at the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival. See full list of dates below – tickets are available HERE. |
2024 marks another stellar and stacked lineup for Robert Glasper, who started the year with Grammy nominations for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “Back to Love” featuring SiR and Alex Isley. This follows his 2023 Grammy win for Best R&B album for Black Radio III (Loma Vista Recordings), featuring artists like Killer Mike, H.E.R, Jennifer Hudson, D Smoke, Indie.Arie, PJ Morton, Lalah Hathaway, Musiq Soulchild, Yebb and more. The expanded Black Radio III: The Supreme Edition features additional contributions from Estelle, PJ Morton, and Mac Miller. |
With 14 GRAMMY nominations and 5 wins, an Emmy and a Peabody under his belt, Glasper famously aims to be the first to have a PEGOT and he is well on his way. The Houston born composer and producer made history over a decade ago with the release of Black Radio as the first album to debut in the top 10 of 4 different genre charts simultaneously: Hip Hop, R&B, Urban Contemporary, Jazz and Contemporary Jazz, as did the follow-up album Black Radio 2. The ongoing Black Radio brand has become synonymous with Black music culture and has placed Glasper alongside some of music’s most legendary- from early days with J Dilla, Bilal and Yasiin Bey to playing alongside Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Herbie Hancock, Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Brandy and more. Commended as one of the most respected and talented artists of his time, everything leading up to this win has cemented Glasper’s lasting legacy in music history and beyond. |
