New York, NY (June 30, 2026) — The future of hip-hop is in good hands. La Reezy, one of the prominent emerging artists from New Orleans, has signed with UnitedMasters – the leading platform empowering independent artists to own their masters and grow their careers. The “Family Bizzy” rapper, who was honored with the inaugural Rap’s Next Generation Award by The Hip Hop Museum, turns the dial on the exciting next chapter in his burgeoning career.

Operating at the intersection of technology, culture, and commerce, UnitedMasters’ global footprint saw significant growth in 2025, especially with the success of banner artists like BigXthaPlug, FloyyMenor, Veigh, Bay Swag, and Armanii. The signing of La Reezy marks the latest expansion move as the breadth of the artist roster grows across countries and continents for premium and long form at UnitedMasters. By prioritizing ownership and creative control, the company empowers artists to scale globally while maintaining independence and shaping the future of music.

Steve Stoute, UnitedMasters Founder and CEO, said, “UnitedMasters is extremely excited to announce our partnership with La Reezy. La Reezy’s authenticity consistently shines in each of his creative offerings.” He continues, “We strongly believe he represents a career artist with all the intangibles necessary to become a star in today’s fast-evolving music industry.

La Reezy added, “The partnership with UnitedMasters has been nothing but a blessing; the team executes and supports my ideas 100%. I appreciate how invested they are in my music, my message, and my culture. I’m excited to continue working with UnitedMasters and collectively spreading a necessary message to the world.”

Eric Evander, Talent Manager & Founder at The Pinnacle Ent, said, “La Reezy is one of the most prolific and exciting artists in music today. His artistry, consistency, and connection to culture set him apart. This partnership with UnitedMasters gives us the opportunity to continue building something special while staying true to the vision that’s brought us here.”

La Reezy continues to elevate his momentum towards the release of his debut album, Skiddle Bandana. The new LP, due July 7, is primed for widespread acclaim and will feature the VICE-approved “Melanate It,” May’s jazz-tinged single “How Did You Love Me,” and the young scribe’s latest single “Family Bizzy.”

Throughout Skiddle Bandana, Reezy explores themes of family, relationships, grief, loyalty, and Southern identity with the same care and intentionality that have become hallmarks of his artistic ethos. Drawing from jazz, soul, trap, and the sounds of New Orleans, the album expands those personal stories into something larger; rather, a reflection of community, heritage, and the experiences that connect people across generations. After a breakout 2025, La Reezy consummated his rise even further after being selected for the 2026 On The Radar Cypher Class, standing tall alongside TDE’s Ray Vaughn, Ben Reilly, Chris Patrick, and more who were also a part of the cypher.

With no signs of slowing down, La Reezy is at the precipice of a major breakthrough. The signing announcement marks a pivotal moment in his journey, introducing mainstream audiences to one of the most important artists of his generation.

Critical Praise:

“La Reezy bridges the gap, a young New Orleans rapper who cherishes rap conventions without dating himself in golden age nostalgia.” – VICE

“His music is already warm and sensitive and, although his flow is urgent, his lyrics are self-aware and full of wisdom for other New Orleanians coming of age. There also are nods all over his music to New Orleans and some of the inspirations and the traps that come for young people, especially Black teenagers, growing up here.” NOLA.com

“La Reezy makes hip-hop full of heart and humanity” NME

“For Reezy, music has never been just about rhythm or recognition. It’s a vehicle for truth-telling, a platform to challenge systems, and a way to document the realities of his community in real time. … His artistry, much like the message of the day, centers self-determination, ownership of narrative and the responsibility that comes with having a voice.” Okayplayer

“Although La Reezy knows how to let loose and be playful on his songs, his lyrical content can be mature beyond his young age (which is a great thing), touching on systemic issues relevant today (“Have Mercy”). He does so over a soulful yet straightforward production reminiscent of rappers from the ’90s and early ’00s who often sampled for their beats, while also flowing in a self-assured manner that shows how experienced he already is. And even when he’s taking inspiration from other eras of hip-hop, La Reezy always comes out on top, shining in a crowded pool of up-and-coming hip-hop artists.” Grimy Goods

ABOUT LA REEZY

La Reezy never raps from a safe distance. For the New Orleans-born emcee, music is inextricably linked to his upbringing. His first contact with the arts started at home, where he would sing and dance to Michael Jackson songs under the direction of his grandmother. By age 15, the artist formerly known as YPC Ree started writing rhymes as an emotional outlet. At the same time, Reezy used music to forge his own identity. He saw an opportunity and took it, not realizing that one decision would change his life forever. In the intervening years, Reezy honed his skills as a songwriter. His lyrics focus on lived-in experiences that paint relatable pictures of personal growth and development. “I’m just an observer of the world around me,” he says. But instead of letting his surroundings shape him, he broke the cycle. Reezy carved out an identity untouched by circumstance, and so far it has worked out for him. A run of singles and EPs quickly followed – including a project with Grammy-winner PJ Morton (Pardon Me, I’m Different) – as the young scribe continued fortifying his catalog. By the time he released LEADER OF DA UTH (2026), Reezy’s status as one of hip-hop’s premier rising artists had crystallized. From being honored with the Rap Next Generation Award by The Hip Hop Museum to early co-signs from Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator, J. Cole, and more, his journey from breakout talent to cultural force has unfolded at a remarkable pace. With no signs of slowing down, La Reezy is readying fans for his next chapter as one of hip-hop’s most promising young artists to emerge from the South.
