| (Washington, D.C.) February 28, 2019—Playwright Dennis Williams returns to the DMV with one of his most creative productions yet featuring R&B Singer Keke Wyatt. The highly anticipated I’ve Cried the Blues, The Musical Story of a Lifetime, is scheduled to play one-night only Saturday, June 8, 2019 at The Warner Theatre located at 513 13th St. NW, Washington, DC 20004.
Produced by Williams’ company Legendary Studio Shows (LSS) Universal, the musical comes a year following the success of his 4-time sold out hit stage play, Love & Therapy Gone Wrong.
I’ve Cried the Blues is an American story with intense dialogue and sung-through music that explores the life of a family during the blues era of 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The roots of this family’s foundation are nearly ripped from the soil when racism and sexism tugs on its branches. Many moments of pain and fear doesn’t change the downward journey until the prayers from a woman’s tears cried the blues. Take a sneak peak of the musical!
