Keith Lee Partners with City of Gary, Tyrese Haliburton, The Salvation Army and Ace Hardware for Free Storm Relief Event
WHAT:
Food critic and social media personality Keith Lee, in partnership with the City of Gary, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, The Salvation Army and Ace Hardware, will host a free community relief event for Gary residents impacted by recent severe storms.
The effort began after Lee shared a video on social media highlighting the storm damage in Gary and calling on others to help. Lee committed $15,000 in donations to the relief effort, and Haliburton matched his $15,000 commitment, bringing their combined contribution to $30,000. The City of Gary, The Salvation Army and Ace Hardware joined Lee and Haliburton as partners to provide additional resources and support.
The event will offer relief supplies, community resources and free food from local food trucks, with music by DJ K Ceasar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The event is free and open to the community. Relief kits will be distributed while supplies last, with one kit per household and a maximum of two households per vehicle. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
