| (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) August 21, 2025 – Bay Area executive producer Frisco Chuck has officially released “Slow Down”, a bold new single from his CA Resurgence Project, a statewide movement designed to unify the Golden State’s diverse hip-hop scenes. Featuring rising stars Lil Kayla (San Francisco) and TraeTwoThree (South Central Los Angeles), the track bridges Northern and Southern California, spotlighting the talent and energy that make California a global force in music.
To set the tone, Frisco Chuck tapped platinum producer Sho Nuff to remake his classic “Slow Down” with melodic strings, giving the record an R&B feel. Pairing Lil Kayla—one of the Bay’s most influential voices—with TraeTwoThree—one of LA’s hottest young stars—proved to be the perfect recipe. “Magic happened,” says Chuck.
“CA Resurgence is about bringing the Golden State back together, from the very top in Sacramento all the way down to San Diego, and including cities like Bakersfield, Fresno, and Modesto,” Frisco Chuck explains. “This project is bigger than me—it’s about showcasing the culture from every part of California and reminding the world of our influence. Working with Lil Kayla and TraeTwoThree on ‘Slow Down’ felt natural, and the energy we created is undeniable.”
“Slow Down” serves as one of the flagship singles of the CA Resurgence Project, designed to connect with core fans while reaching new audiences across the country. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, with visuals and live activations to follow. |
