In Advance of BET’s Highly Anticipated Hip Hop Awards Show, A BET-Branded Truck Hits The Road To Encourage Young People To Vote In Advance of Voter Registration Deadlines
WHO: BET Networks is kicking off a 20 plus city truck tour to encourage young people to register to vote. To create awareness and excitement around their voter engagement initiative, VOTE YOUR VOICE, BET is tying in the promotional tour with their upcoming BET HIP HOP AWARDS SHOW, airing on October 4th at 8pm ET The goal is to create an exciting, accessible and engaging way to make young African-American people aware of the voter registration deadlines in their cities and register to vote.
WHAT: The BET truck will hit over 20 cities, visiting Historically Black Colleges & Universities
(HBCU’s), malls, parks, concerts in each area.
People are invited to come inside of the18-foot step van set up as a mobile lounge and register to vote onsite at designated iPad stations(VOTE YOUR VOICE) or show proof of registration and receive free giveaways from t-shirts to hot vinyl product,while supplies last.
Yet to be named artists/talentare slated to pop-up at the BET Truck at various locations to meet and greet with fans.
