NEW YORK, NY — October 15, 2026 — Following a landmark celebration in Trinidad & Tobago and weeks of continued international media coverage, the Caribbean Music Awards, presented by Trinidad Tourism Limited, has announced that its fourth annual ceremony will premiere globally on the official Caribbean Music Awards YouTube channel on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 9 PM EST. The ceremony will also be available internationally through the TRACE Plus App and its television platforms in select markets, alongside confirmed television broadcasts across eight Caribbean markets.
Since the September 19 ceremony, anticipation among fans and followers for the full broadcast has continued to build, fueled by red carpet moments, artist appearances and performances that have kept the conversation surrounding the event alive across social media, television and traditional press. Media outlets across North America, Trinidad, the United Kingdom, the French Caribbean, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Dominica, Guyana and other international markets have continued to spotlight the event, capturing the elegance, star power and production behind this year’s celebration. With coverage continuing to circulate weeks after awards night, the upcoming premiere offers audiences an opportunity to experience the full show and revisit the moments that brought Caribbean music’s diversity and influence to the forefront.
Held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in Port of Spain, the 2026 ceremony marked a new chapter for the Caribbean Music Awards, bringing the platform to Trinidad & Tobago for the first time following three years in Brooklyn, New York. Guided by this year’s theme, “Sounds of the Caribbean,” while celebrating “Voices of the Caribbean,” the event brought together artists, industry leaders, cultural stakeholders and international media for a celebration of the region’s musical range and its growing global presence.
Hosted by Majah Hype and Nailah Blackman, the ceremony featured performances from 1T1, Theomaa, FreeTown Collective, Mela Caribe, Christo, Lil Kerry, V’ghn, 450, Jah Mason, Harmonik and Muddy, among others. The evening also recognized influential figures whose work has shaped Caribbean music and culture, with Patra receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, Calypso Rose the Elite Calypso Award, Alan Cavé the Elite Konpa Award and Shynethe Global Ambassador Award.
From Soca, Dancehall and Reggae to Bouyon, Konpa, Chutney Soca, Calypso, Dennery and French Caribbean music, the show reflects a region whose sounds are distinct yet connected, with artists and musical traditions continuing to cross borders and reach new audiences. The premiere will give viewers the opportunity to experience these performances, tributes and many more special moments in full, while celebrating the people and sounds contributing to Caribbean music’s continued cultural impact.
The global premiere follows the Caribbean Music Awards’ first Elite Weekend Experience in Trinidad & Tobago, a three-day gathering that extended beyond the awards ceremony to include industry conversations, a welcome reception, international media engagement and a Sunday celebration of Caribbean heritage and steelpan. Together, the events created a wider platform for artists, media and industry voices to connect around the region’s music and its global future.
