Kevin Hart and Charlamagne Tha God’s SBH Productions and Audible Present “Kingsland,” a New Original Thriller Series

New York, New York – May 8, 2025- Today, SBH Productions, the audio entertainment company founded by comedian, actor, and writer Kevin Hart, and multimedia mogul and bestselling author Charlamagne Tha God, and Audible Inc., the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, today released their fifth Original collaboration, Kingsland, a gripping new audio thriller.

Written by Dwayne Alexander Smith and executive produced by Hart and Charlamagne, the series is produced by Karen Kinney, Marc Gerald, Mike Stein, Bryan Smiley, Dave Becky, and Nicole Shelton, who also serves as director. The star-studded voice cast features Winston Duke as Jamison Wright, Yara Martinez as Roxanne Wright, Joniece Abbott-Pratt as Quinn Sinclair, with Jason George, Joe Morton, Jabari Banks and a full cast. All nine episodes of Kingsland are now available exclusively from Audible.

Kingsland immerses listeners in a fictional sovereign Black nation located just seven miles off the coast of Georgia. Funded by a landmark U.S. Reparations Act and founded as a haven for African Americans, Kingsland has, in just a decade, become one of the wealthiest and most exclusive countries in the world. As Kingsland prepares to mark its 10th anniversary, the nation is suddenly rattled by a series of brutal lynchings, shattering its image of perfection and igniting a high-stakes manhunt for a serial killer.

Winston Duke delivers a powerful and vulnerable performance as Jamison Wright, a seasoned investigator assigned to the case, who must navigate the island’s elite political circles, long-buried

secrets, and growing unrest before the nation’s carefully constructed identity unravels. “There are many social and political themes in the series that reflect real-life issues, and my character, while layered and complex, is ultimately just human,” said Duke. “Conveying that humanity using only voice was incredibly rewarding, especially as someone who has often been recognized for more visual roles. It challenged me in new ways and deepened my connection to storytelling.”

Dwayne Alexander Smith has worked as a WGA screenwriter for over twenty years.
