“We’ve all crossed the line at time in our relationships where we’ve said something that we didn’t truly mean out of anger,” shares rising singer/songwriter, Tyler Dumont
, about her new single, “ Don’t Mean It
” produced by SwanQo. “Don’t Mean It” is a passionate song about the things you’ve said during a heated argument that you wish you could take back,” shares Tyler. The video directed by Johnny Frost features dramatic scenes that capture the fiery tension between Tyler and her lover portrayed by actor, Donovan Christie Jr.
Born in Miami of Haitian-Puerto-Rican and Colombian-Irish heritage, Tyler attributes her soulful style to parents who played a mixture of music from Motown classics to salsa and gospel in the house on the weekend. While the soulful side of Tyler is inspired by soul legends, she attributes her unique sound to studio sessions with co-writing partner, Rich Rivera. No matter how you label her sound, Tyler Dumont is carving out her own niche with her upcoming Nomadic Behavior project deftly showcasing her songwriting and vocal skills. “For me, making music is about connecting with people. I wanted to create music on my new project, Nomadic Behavior, that tells real stories and that’s relatable. What’s more real in relationships than couples fighting and making up!”
